About the Role

As a client services team member, you will work closely with financial consultants, sales managers, and other team members to ensure new brokerage accounts are opened in a timely manner. Your primary focus will be ensuring that customer information and document requirements are met in regards to Know Your Customer, Customer Identification Procedures, and FINRA guidelines.

What You Can Expect

You are the first level of approval when new customer accounts are submitted. You will manage the problem resolution process between the front office and the clearinghouse. You will assist financial consultants with inquiries regarding new accounts by performing research on various systems. You will ensure the financial consultant is aware of the actions taken and/or needed by maintaining close communication.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will monitor and approve new customer accounts, including information accuracy and completeness, categorization of account/customer type, review of documents submitted, and final assessment/approval of account documentation completion.
  • You will monitor items for attention and work with financial consultants to upload missing documents and notify the clearinghouse.
  • You will maintain physical and electronic records and manage filing of new account forms.
  • You will process account maintenance requests, including change of representative, advisory conversions, and managed account fee changes.
  • You will maintain current and accurate department procedures and documentation for audits.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor s Degree and one year of experience in investment sales/operations or 2-3 years equivalent work related experience.

  • Series 99 or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
