The Materials Management Lead will be a member of the Manufacturing leadership team and have overall responsibility for building a raw material and drug substance supply planning, materials and inventory management function for Spark s facility at 3737 Market St and off-site Raw Materials Warehouse.
This will include building and leading a team to deliver efficient systems and processes.
This individual will work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Finance/Procurement, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Operations (clinical and commercial) to ensure timely and efficient material control and management to meet the demands of Spark s product pipeline.

Responsibilities

25% Establish and maintain inventory control management for cGMP raw materials and associated components in accordance with agreed upon production plans to ensure their receipt (and release) in accordance with the manufacturing schedule.
Interface with QC raw materials testing team to ensure on time release of raw materials for manufacturing.

20% Lead the development of a materials supply plan corresponding to the drug substance manufacturing plan.

20% Develop and implement or review and revise (as needed) processes and procedures within areas of responsibility, such as controlled-temperature shipping (raw materials), receipt and inventory management, etc.

15% Manage/supervise daily logistics activities including shipping and receiving, general warehouse and materials movement within and external to Spark.

10% Identify and regularly report key performance indicators (such as productivity, adherence to schedule and cost controls) associated with materials management and the supply chain.

10% Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within areas of responsibility.
Support and enforce the Spark EH&S policy and associated procedures.

Manage Materials Management team to achieve business goals and objectives.

Manage performance.
Ensure every team member knows what is expected of them, what it takes to be successful, and how they are progressing.
Provide team members with continuous and on-going performance feedback.
Hold everyone accountable to achieve results while demonstrating the Spark Values.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a life-sciences or related field is required.
    An advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years supply chain, logistics and/or operations knowledge.
  • Experience in shipping / warehouse operations including various DOT, IATA/ICAO and Dry Ice in Transit regulations.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) modules.
  • Demonstrated experience with temperature-controlled solutions, such as shipping for controlled ambient, 2-8 C, and -80 C.
  • Direct experience with Regulatory Inspections is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GXP compliance as well as USP, EP, ICH and FDA guidelines.

Competencies

Experience working in a GMP environment is required

Possess the ability to multitask and work independently or in a team environment with moderate supervision

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
