About the Role
As a Trade Operations Specialist III, you are responsible for processing import, export, and standby letters of credit transactions. You will review letter of credit applications for completion and accuracy and examine documents presented under letters of credit to ensure they are in compliance with Uniform Customs, Practice for Documentary Credits and International Standby policies.
What You Can Expect
You will review export letters of credit for workability and provide suggestive solutions to the customer. You will examine and advise export letter of credit presentations and monitor their days outstanding at the foreign banks to ensure timely payment. You will communicate negotiation information to the customer and follow up on pending transactions and perform investigations as required.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will review letter of credit language for compliance and provide letter of credit consultation to relationship managers and customers.
- You will examine documents presented under standby and import letters of credit for compliance and communicate findings to foreign banks and customers.
- You will be responsible for providing support and guidance to Trade Operations Specialists and the Trade Sales team through teamwork and collaboration.
- You will work with team members to organize the timely exchange of information to ensure client needs are met.
- You will keep current on current industry policy, standards and events.

Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor s Degree in Business and 3
years of International Banking experience or equivalent years of work related experience. Minimum 3 years of experience working with Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits. Certified Documentary Credit Specialist Certificate is required or will need to be obtained with their first 12 months.
