Law Enforcement Coordination Specialist

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for performing a variety of duties to promote the effective utilization of federal, state, and local law enforcement resources. If selected, you will receive formal and/or on-the-job training as needed. Duties include:
Establishing and maintaining communication between the United States Attorney's Office and federal, state, and local organizations. Coordinating law enforcement programs by providing a regular forum for organization representatives. Analyzing law enforcement programs, audiences, and priorities. Identifying the informational and resource needs of law enforcement organizations. Developing and disseminating relevant information through appropriate media. Managing a comprehensive Law Enforcement Coordination program. GS 12:
To be eligible at the GS 12 level, you must meet ONE full year of specialized experience as defined below. Specialized
Experience:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 11 level. Specialized Experience is defined working as experience analyzing law enforcement organization informational needs to develop and administer a comprehensive Law Enforcement Coordination program; knowledge of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, programs, procedures and methods, and how they relate to promoting the mission of the organization; experience conducting workshops, seminars and other meetings with law enforcement subject-matter specialists, and federal, state and local officials; experience communicating effectively with a wide variety of audiences both orally and in writing; experience overseeing projects by managing resources and funds in accordance with guidelines; and experience determining the elements of an effective organizational program and the ability to develop ways to adapt existing material to promote programmatic effectiveness. To be qualified, you must type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. (A typing test may later be required.) Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP):
The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
