General Description:
ChemTreat's sales opportunities are specific to water treatment and require an individual with both sales and technical knowledge within the industry. This water treatment sales position is focused on entering new markets and developing business to drive ChemTreat's market position within a geography or an industry. The Business Development Manager has the opportunity to develop their own book of business in an entrepreneurial environment.
Qualified applicants must have knowledge and understanding of water treatment including feeding chemical and taking measurements, troubleshooting, and explaining to customers what is needed in order to fix a problem, improve a system, or provide a reduction in total cost of ownership. ChemTreat prides itself on delivering maximum value to the customer, therefore all sales positions are expected to value sell and continuously demonstrate cost savings when managing accounts.
Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:
Lead the creation, improvement, and implementation of innovative sales strategies to drive ChemTreat's position and increase share within the assigned market segment.
Develop key relationships with customers through the following methods: prospect and cold call generation, frequent follow up, utilize strategic questioning, and drive to root issues to identify customers' needs.
Acquire new customers through developing proposals by identifying and prioritizing customer needs; utilizing strategic analysis to development and execute sales plans.
Work closely with technical staff and fellow sales representative to develop growth strategies.
Provide analysis of markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues.
Increase sales and profits; meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.

Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with chemical water treatment systems and applications.
Existing knowledge and background in technical water treatment, including experience with water treatment systems. For example, boilers, cooling towers, reverse osmosis, clarifiers, raw water, and waste water.

Industry knowledge specific to water treatment including familiarity with various applications
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors of Science; Engineering or technical degree preferred
7 years of successful water treatment related experience
Proven track record of generated sales revenue in the water treatment industry with year over year increases
Physical Demands:
Travel dependent on size of assigned territory
May require long work days & varied schedule
