Cox Media Group and Tulsa Radio are hiring a Media Account Executive tojoin their growing team!
Main responsibility asan Account Executive is to achieve revenue goals by prospecting local business,presenting sales proposals, closing the sale and providing on-going customerservice in a culture that embraces CMG attributes of speed, passion andcourage, while modeling Cox values and commitment to diversity.
Responsible forachieving revenue goals in core, digital, and non-traditional channels by developingand growing mutually beneficial relationships with existing accounts as well asprospecting and growing relationships with new local businesses, agencies orindividuals that have a desire to reach our audience. The position servesas the point person, responsible for the entire sales process and requires theability to talk in front of individuals or groups in a persuasive, sellingcapacity. You will need to prospect new business, overcome objections andsolve problems to get the job done.
Responsibilities
Using a consultative approach, build and grow an account list, develop relationships with business owners and decision makers and maintain a pipeline that ensures sustainability through peaks and valleys inherent in a sales environment.
Develop and/or collaborate to create and deliver compelling sales presentations and marketing materials that drive sales. Understand and effectively use sales tools, such as research materials (Scarborough, Nielson Ratings, Research Director, CMG research, etc.), case studies, CRM software, RAB (Radio Advertising Bureau), and other tools as may be identified.
Work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments (internally & externally) to ensure opportunities for revenue growth are maximized.
Regularly generate new and innovative ideas & ways to bring in new revenue.
Participate in account development by maximizing client potential through support, including but not limited to creating new to radio and new to CMG business, and growth of existing clients.
Qualifications
Successful candidateswill have a passion for selling, possess a high energy level, positiveattitude, and a proven track record (demonstrated experience) of successfulsales.
Minimum of three yearsproven successful experience in media or digital sales.
Prefers a college degree

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
