The Project Manager is the person responsible for all aspects of the project execution, after the project is transferred from Sales, until the goods are successfully installed according to contractual requirements and the final invoice is paid. As order owner, you will be responsible for insuring that a complete and accurate scope of supply is defined; for internal and external communication and coordination; for maintaining or improving the project gross margin; for maintaining overall project schedule; and for overall contract execution and success of all Engineered Solutions projects. The Project Manager is required to work closely with other departments, such as Sales, Process Design, Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, Expediting/Delivery, Installation and Accounting.
Support of the Sales and Process department preparing commercial and technical proposals (and negotiating contracts).
Review Sales/Process hand over files for completeness, and no ambiguity, liaise with sales/process/customer to close any gaps
Contract review
Assembles/Assigns Internal project team
Arranges/leads Internal/External Kick Off meetings
Develops and manages detailed project progress schedule
Develops and manages project cost and invoicing schedule
Develops/Manages Quality Plan
Develops/Manages Documentation Plan
Purchasing of equipment and services from third parties as well as other Chemtech Business Units.
Claim Management
Acts as the primary liaison between client and the customer
Qualified candidate will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
5 years minimum experience in Project Management with similar engineered systems
Analytical and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to real engineered drawings
Computer skills including the ability to successfully use MS Project or other similar project management and ERP systems software
Cost Management
The ability to travel to customer sites, which may include international travelEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
