Nationwide Traveling Electrical Project Superintendent


JBI Electrical Systems, Inc, is aggressively seeking a Traveling Electrical Project Superintendent, with 5
years' experience for projects involving commercial electrical construction. The basic function of the Field Superintendent is to provide on-site administrative and technical management of the related activities including necessary planning, organization, direction, coordination and control for all field personnel in a manner that supports the profit and growth objectives of the company.
This position will require year-round travel
Education & Experience
o High School Diploma or GED
o 5-8 years as a Commercial Electrical Superintendent and Minimum of 5 years previous experience leading large jobs in Industrial/Commercial
o Active journeyman or master electrical license
Qualifications
o Active Journeyman's License required. - Multi state preferred.
o Prior knowledge and/or ability to learn and understand the Job Cost process
o Must be a True Believer in Safety
o Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
o Strong customer service skills required
o Ability to be mobile to various locations and available to travel to project areas as project needs are required
Superintendent Duties & Responsibilities
o Supervise the operations on the construction site.
o Reviews, and supports the hiring needs
o Quality control & coordination responsibilities with other trades
o Train, manage and evaluate project team members (10 to 25 team members on a job.)
o Ability to assist Project Manager prepare construction schedules
o Make daily schedules for proper manpower utilization
o Maintain daily reports, time sheets, safety and accident reports
o Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve any conflicts
o Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work
o Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs
o Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards
o Recognize and communicate to Project Manager any priority project problems, such as employee, job costing issues or any need for concern
o Responsible for empowering, training and helping with the growth and development of all field employees
o Responsible for the counseling of employees, including the writing/filing and follow-up or corrective measures to be taken for each offense
o Responsible for ensuring that all installations are correct per NEC, city codes and engineering drawings and specifications.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
o Knowledge of administration and management. Must be able to plan, allocate resources, manage production, and coordinate people and equipment.
o Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in electrical construction.
o Must be able to read, understand and apply information obtained from blueprints and job specifications.
o Knowledge of the latest NEC and NFPA 70E codes.
o Must have a positive approach to motivate employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
o Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
o Must be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment.
o Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
o Must be able to reach over head.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is regularly performed in outdoor weather conditions or other elements where temperatures can exceed extreme conditions.
Salary commensurate with experience, Health, Dental, Vision & 401K.
Opportunity for Job Bonus based on profitability of the job.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
