Great, full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Services Specialist/ High Voltage Technician, based in Houston, TX.

Description

Provide technical skill in assembly, installation, and testing of high voltage materials (Transformers, breakers, feedback devices, controls, protection systems, control cables, vacuum dehydration units, substations)

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Assemble High Voltage Transformers
Assemble HV Switchyards
Ability to test HV equipment such as HV Breakers, Transformers, Feedback Devices, Control & Protection Systems
Use Common Hand Tools
Mechanical erection of High Voltage Substations
Pulling & Terminating Control Cable
Operation of Vacuum Dehydration Units
Compile test reports
Manage assembly and testing crews
Monitor project costs to insure proper cost control

Qualifications:
High School diploma
Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc).
Must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
Travel up to 70%
Eligible for International Travel
Understanding of basic electronic principles
Knowledge and skill of basic hand tools
7 - 10 Years of High Voltage experience

Essential Functions:
All of these - Physical requirements (heavy lifting, standing, bending, climbing, handling and assembly parts, can't be claustrophobic, must be willing to fly)
Mental requirements (mental concentration to carry out the work, diligent, conscientious, and have a sense of urgency)
Equipment use (forklift, power tools)
Working conditions- frequently outdoors, frequently in small spaces

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
