Summary:
The Communications Coordinator develops and implements communications strategies with key constituencies. Promotes positive public image among various audiences and advances the agency's mission and program awareness. Collaborates to achieve brand consistency, coordination of messages, and highest standards for communications. This position provides support for all of the activities of the marketing team. No supervisory responsibilities. Makes non-routine choices within established precedent, considering objectives, under limited supervision. Performs intermediate troubleshooting or analysis; problems require interpretation of data using generally prescribed procedures. Frequent interaction to provide basic information and/or occasional interaction requiring detailed procedural explanations or technical responses.
Responsibilities/
Essential Functions:
Responsible for crafting and implementing the organization's key messages and image. Plan, develop, implement and maintain quality control of communications regarding the organization. Provide organization-wide e-communications. May act as agency spokesperson when designated
Work in collaboration with internal and external teams to develop and implement communication and content for priority initiatives. Play integral role in creative development, strategy and coordination of tactics. Create a variety of messages and deliverables to diverse audiences and languages. Evaluate efforts and communicate progress, outcomes and learnings to key stakeholders
Act as the editor and writer of all marketing materials including brochures, flyers, radio scripts, and video content
Responsible for vetting and preparing interview/story participants
Assists with maintaining and updating website and social media outlets to maintain an active and innovative presence. Utilize website content management system, design tools and a variety of social media platforms to make content updates
Develop local media relationships, field media inquiries, prepare and distribute pitches and news releases, and coordinate segments based on media requests presented. Maintain electronic and printed media archives
Utilize internal ticketing system to manage department projects, providing excellent customer service throughout the process while managing expectations and deadlines
Work with marketing team to manage and plan the editorial calendar to ensure proper communications, cross-promotion across various channels, and coordinate work schedules
Utilize call blast system and push notifications to send approved communications to families and/or employees, including arrangement for translated messages
Attend agency activities to take photos or videos, meet with media, assist with event or to provide agency representation. May include evenings and weekends
Perform other duties as assigned or requested
Required Education/Experience
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field is required.
Two years of prerequisite related work experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills, familiar with AP style
Creativity and flexibility are essential
Proven project management skills
Must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data
Must be diplomatic and have the ability to work well with people at all levels
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and interpret and present information effectively
Must have positive and team-oriented interpersonal skills to maintain effective and satisfactory working relationships with CAP Tulsa staff, internal and external customers.
Must have advanced MS Office skills including ability to use MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
Experience with editing via a content management system and design tools, (WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite), and web-based project management tools and collaboration technologies, is preferred.
Video and basic photography skills preferred
Advanced organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, demonstrated commitment to completing assignments on a timely basis, ability to take initiative, problem solve, multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving work environment.
Essential Physical & Mental Requirements
Employee is subject to standing, stooping, walking, lifting, and carrying objects throughout daily job performance. Intermittent effort involving lifting of amounts between 5 and 25 pounds required. Work requires attention to detail and deadlines between 25% and 50% of the time. Primarily an office position with some local driving/travel with exposure to normal traffic hazards. Occasional work on weekends and evenings.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
