Job Description:
The Information Technology team mission is to enable the business of TDW through the optimal use of application software, hardware infrastructure and telecommunications. Our primary goal is to maximize the organizations investment in technology while providing the highest level of customer service possible. We strive to achieve this goal through the constant pursuit of business alignment, solution architecture, financial analysis, service delivery and customer support.
Database Analyst:
Consulting with internal and external clients to model complex data structures.
Develop and maintain the database architecture
Data warehouse Architect:
Develop and maintain the appropriate operational documentation for databases
Plan and execute data conversions, data structures and migrations
Business Intelligence Analyst:
Ensure the accuracy, performance and consistency of the database information
Oversee database capacity planning, forecasting, and tuning
Manage database security and control access permissions and privileges
Research and Development:
Respond to health alerts and produce maintenance plans and scripts
Monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance
Project Management:
Perform health checks to ensure the integrity of the schema and the data
Perform health checks to ensure the synchronization of database replicas
Liaise with other infrastructure teams to resolve complex application performance analysis
Develop complex reporting information and present results to management and customer.
Utilize, update and manage BI tools such as SQL, SSRS, Cognos TM1, Halo/Prism, Business Analytics
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

years in related role in addition to a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. Demonstrated experience can be exchanged for the degree.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of personnel individually and within teams. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent project, organization change and financial management skills.
Apply knowledge of multiple database management systems (DBMS), supporting operating systems, transaction managers, database tools, utilities, gateways, and middleware to sustain operations.
Knowledge of information technology topics (distributed data architecture and databases, data replication and warehousing, information access methods, distributed database design and connectivity, performance monitoring and tuning, operating system administration, DBMS and database operations, procedural languages, etc.).
Ability to install, maintain and upgrade multiple types of DBMS.
Ability to back up, recover, reorganize, and monitor performance and utilization of multiple types of databases, database structures, and DBMS.
Disseminate information regarding tools, reports, or metadata enhancements.
Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs.
Identify or monitor current and potential customers, using business intelligence tools.
Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
Identify and analyze industry or geographic trends with business strategy implications.
Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
Create or review technical design documentation to ensure the accurate development of reporting solutions.
Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends.
Document specifications for business intelligence or information technology (IT) reports, dashboards, or other outputs.
Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs.
Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources.
Analyze technology trends to identify markets for future product development or to improve sales of existing products.
Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market, or share trends.
Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
