Description:
Overview:
Manages and provides user-based development and production support activities for business unit management information and other business systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide super-user support of business systems to business units including but not limited to:
o Develop solutions for user requirements
o Provide key user interface with IT staff for system maintenance issues
o Provide system training to new users
o Eliminate vendor costs where possible
o Troubleshoot data integrity and inconsistencies
o Develop advanced reports
o Analyze business requirements for management information
o Set up and maintain user security
2. Provide information and assistance to plant accounting, scheduling, operations, financial accounting and analysts, measurement, contract administration, auditors, management, and others related to systems and system results.
3. Serve as project leader for implementation of system enhancements and acquisitions, developing project implementation plans, creating and managing project team, and monitoring and reporting team progress.
4. Compile, calculate, analyze, and prepare information and reports related to plant operating statistics including but not limited to:
o Pipeline performance
o Plant financial performance
o Gas volumes
o Contract pricing
o Plant production
o System acquisitions
5. Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
6. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT management, accounting, finance, business administration, or other related field with specific job-related experience as follows:
1. Experience working in various mid- or back-office functions of energy related businesses.
2. Experience and/or training in use and function of mainframe and software applications such as:
o TIPS
o Right aNGLe
o PGAS
o Microsoft Access and Excel
o COGNOS PowerPlay and Impromptu
o Oracle Financial and Discoverer
o Crystal Reports
o On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) System
o On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) System
o Quorum (QCM, QQM, and QPTM) Systems
3. Working knowledge of relational database design including table structures, indexes, and primary/foreign key fields.
4. Experience researching, composing, reconciling, and preparing reports, studies, recommendations, and correspondence applicable to position.
5. Working knowledge of standard accounting methods and procedures.
6. Application of math, algebra, and statistical and volumetric methods.
7. Working knowledge of database modeling and forecasting tools.
8. Experience reading and interpreting company correspondence, reports, production statistics, cost analyses, contracts, accounting statements, income statements, ledgers, manuals, computer printouts, and legal documents.
9. Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively.
10. Experience developing and presenting information to individuals and groups.
11. Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSING:
Applicable driver's license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions and conduct oral presentations.
VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sufficient to perform job duties.
