Description:

Provide environmental engineering support and/or manage environmental programs for the Corporate Environmental Group supporting Natural Gas Gathering & Processing.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify and communicate environmental risks and regulatory requirements and make recommendations concerning applicability of regulations.
2. Develop and direct environmental compliance management programs including but not limited to:

Environmental permitting and authorizations (air, wastewater, waste, National Environmental Policy Act, disposal wells)

Change review programs

Emergency preparedness programs and drills

Training and communications programs

Agency reporting and fee payment

Policy/procedure development
3. Supervise and/or perform environmental inspection, monitoring and testing including but not limited to:

Stack testing

Continuous emissions monitoring

Valve/pump leak detection and repair

Waste characterization

Wastewater monitoring
4. Select and manage compliance related services including but not limited to:

Waste management services

Emissions monitoring services

Technical consulting services
5. Manage environmental emergency situations; ensure proper reporting, investigating and communicating.
6. Develop, oversee and refine compliance recordkeeping and document management programs.
7. Facilitate regulatory agency inspections and inquiries.
8. Identify and integrate applicable newly promulgated regulatory programs into environmental compliance systems.
9. Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
10. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or environmental preferred) or related field
OR
Equivalent formal educationPLUSthe following job-related
Experience:
1. Experience with environmental compliance in a chemical processing, manufacturing, refining or natural gas/NGL processing facility.
2. Application of math and algebraic formulas.
3. Experience in use and function of office equipment including microcomputer and applicable software.
4. Experience related to (as specified by position):

Title V/PSD air permitting

Hazardous waste management

Underground injection control

DOT hazardous materials shipping/receiving

Continuous emissions monitoring and stack testing

Equipment leak detection and repair

Emergency planning and management

Compliance management systems
5. Knowledge and/or training related to (as specified by position):

Facility response planning

NPDES wastewater permitting

Stormwater pollution prevention and permitting

EPCRA / CERCLA / SARA chemical tracking & reporting

Non-hazardous industrial waste management

Exploration & production waste exemptions

Emissions inventory
6. Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively.
7. Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSING:
1. Applicable driver's license. Requires travel to other company offices and job sites.
2. Environmental, Health & Safety and/or Engineering-related certification(s) preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Mobility to travel in and around office and plant facilities and around job sites out-of-doors.
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Communicate and/or exchange verbal information or instructions.
VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sufficient to perform job duties.
