_WHO WILL BE CONSIDERED:_ This position is only open to current members of the Oklahoma Air National Guard assigned to the 138th SFS.

_NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED:_ This is an excepted position that requires active membership in a compatible skill in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and the wear of the military uniform. _MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:_ Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Military Grades Available E3-E6.

This position is located in an Air National Guard Wing, Mission Support Group, Security Forces Squadron. The primary purpose of this position is to protect Federal property from hazards such as sabotage, espionage, trespass, theft, fire and accident or willful damage and destruction. To maintain law and order, preserve the peace, and protect life and civil rights within the jurisdiction of the military installation.
_GENERAL
Experience:_ Understanding of the basic principles and concepts of military security forces functions, laws, policies, regulations, rules, procedures, and methods. Also, have general experience performing functions such as weapon systems and resource security, air base defense, law enforcement; and, if applicable for the position, experience in handling military working dog functions or combat arms functions.
SPECIALIZED
Experience: An applicant's experience will be graded based on the amount of experience they exemplify in their current and previous positions held that are relevant to the position announced.The application must reflect 9 months experience performing and enforcing the full range of security forces duties within a military installation.Experience apprehending and detaining violators of laws, rules, and regulations.Experience at fixed posts or patrolling in installation on foot or vehicle, responding to alarms, irregularities and unusual or suspicious circumstances.Experience with Security Forces Dispatcher duties, dispatching personnel and equipment to meet emergency situations.Experience with Base Entry Controller and commercial vehicle inspection duties.
