Environmental Specialist

This position will be responsible for supporting commercial growth projects within Magellan. The individual will be responsible for obtaining all required Federal and State authorizations (excluding air permitting) for construction and operation of new assets. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for environmental compliance during construction of the project. The position will also support preliminary project evaluations and due diligence efforts associated with potential acquisitions.
Job Requirements:
This position requires aB.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resouces, or related science with and at least 5 years of related experience is preferred. The positionwill be filled at a level commensurate with the candidate's education and experience. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable of applicable environmental regulations and typical permitting requirements for large construction projects. The individual must also work well in a team environment, and be capable of managing multiple projects successfully.
Additional requirements:
The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English with co-workers, supervisors, internal and external customers; the ability to work in stressful conditions; the ability to adapt and respond in changing circumstances; the ability to use a personal computer with the Windows operating system to complete time sheets, send and receive email, and access information posted on the Company's intranet; availability as needed to work on both a scheduled and call-out basis; and the ability to work at the assigned job site.
