SUMMARY
Range Technician is responsible for accomplishing daily tasks related to the operations, maintenance and upkeep of the Chilocco Radio Frequency Test Range (RFTR). Responsibilities include operations and maintenance of RFTR equipment, configuration and utilization of test equipment, infrastructure maintenance and upkeep, and general support tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Set up, prepare, break down and assist in the conduct of RFTR events and activities.
General knowledge in Computer Networking and Windows and Linux based Computer Systems.
General knowledge of RF transmission equipment such as handheld radios, repeaters, base stations and other transceivers.
General ability to work with Information Technology systems and equipment.
Basic capability to relocate system components, make minor software and network modifications as directed.
Capability to attain proficiency in set-up, calibration, utilization, and processing various radio frequency equipment and associated software.
Basic understanding of GPS architecture, concept, and equipment.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No Supervisory or Management Authority.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications and or computer science preferred.Minimum 1 years of related experience. Prior military experience highly desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic Programming not a requirement but helpful
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
U.S. citizenship
Ability to qualify for an active Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain a motor vehicle license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normally 40 hours per week at the Chilocco Range as the primary place of duty. Flexible to work extended hours including weekends on occasion. Minimal travel required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
