Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that systems, processes, and product comply with LMI Tulsa/LMI Aerospace and customer requirements. The role of the Quality Technician is to help document, define, audit adn monitor the quality systems and to ensure the systems in place are functioning correctly and consistently. In all actions support LMI''s Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other LMI policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.Escapes: Document non-conformances within internal quality system. Coordinate all non-conformance activity with customer and suppliers. Host coordination meeting with customer and suppliers. Maintain and publish non-conformance tracker internally and externally. Serve as a customer and supplier point of contact. Run queries and provide defect data to Program Quality Engineer in support of TBCA activity.
: Perform product conformity inspections. Review and complete appropriate conformity documentation. Present product to FAA delegate for inspection and final buy offs. Coordinate scheduling of on-site FAA delegate. Maintain request for conformity documentation ensuring customer requests are being achieved.
Auditing: Conduct internal audits as needed issue CA as needed from internal audits & follow up on CA completions & actions put in place from CA. Perform product and process audits as defined in work instructions.
4. Quality Assurance: Schedule on-site customer witnessing of required processes. Review work orders for accuracy prior to issuance to shop floor. Maintain and collect data as required. Participate in the preparation for AS9100, Nadcap & customer audits. Participate in the CA process from the 3rd party audits. Inspect/Review WIP parts in all work centers as needed; review parts with source inspections & other LMI facilities as needed; review rejected returned parts/orders before rework is completed; communicate with customers on damaged shipment issues, PO instruction issues, sketch interpretation issues, tooling issues,etc; verify correct forms are in use in the work centers, develop new forms as needed, modify forms as needed, develop work instructions as needed, modify work instructions as needed, maintain & update the MPS documents as needed, maintain & update the load sheets as needed; order the equipment for the inspectors kits, order the red tape when needed.
5. Data Entry/Communication: QA turnover reports>input data from turnover reports into charts to be tracked weekly/monthly. send reports out to steering team, post as required. Defect Tracker>Gather the defect tracker sheets from work orders and enter data into database, compile customer data and format into the Excel spreadsheet and email to Program Director, compile all internal data and post as required. Look for data trends & feed information to supervisors to be used in weekly CAB meetings.

Education and/or Experience Required:
HS Diploma or GED; two to five years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Aerospace industry knowledge preferred.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AS400; Q-Pulse, Microsoft Access, Job Scope Manufacturing software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
