position
?

The Project
manager
position will be managing a portfolio of Operational Excellence projects. The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects on time and on budget. Coordinating efforts of team members, vendors, and consultants to deliver projects according to plan is essential, as well as resolving issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, taking responsibility for the multiple disciplines in the IT function, where needed. Expectations around competencies, skills, and knowledge differ across the Project Manager levels as described below.

In addition to managing all aspects of the project mentioned previously, this project manager is responsible for assembling a project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resource needs, and developing schedules to ensure timely completions of projects.


What do you need to be able to do?
Lead and provide technical leadership to highly visible, sensitive and multi-faceted projects.
Communicate regularly on project specifications to ascertain and manage expectations and ensure strategic alignment.
Anticipate customer-stakeholder needs and prioritize them in reference to the organization's strategy.
Initiate and promote change management in the business to ensure project and organizational success.
Facilitate conflict resolution with others to achieve project success and collaboration.
Prioritize signed off project work based on analysis of strategic importance, tasks outstanding, obstacles or barriers, budgets, resources and deadlines.
Recognize individual personalities and styles to adapt communication approach accordingly.
Understand functional aspect of the business and aligns technical options in meeting business objectives.
Maintain seamless coordination among remote team members, business, and management despite complex project inputs and efforts.
Provide input and expertise to the financial management process for current projects.
Build successful plans through timelines and flow charting techniques.
Manage self and others against a strict timeline among project complexities.
Map high-level requirements to the information architecture.
Understand the interdependencies among applications within a project and manages risks and issues based on that knowledge.
Learn and apply company's specific project life cycle.
What are the requirements?

PM Life Cycle (initiation, planning, executing, closing)
First or second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)
Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.
Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team (Java, PL/SQL, HTML, Oracle)
Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
Previous experience as a team lead
Experience in developing and applying project documentation i.e. charter, scope document, RACI, communications plan, etc.

Budget of $250K or greater
6-10 FTEs
1-11 month duration

Multiple sub-projects

Preferred:
PMP certification
Agile Project Management (SCRUM)
UML experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
