Job Description:
The Engineering Manager oversees all functions of the engineering department in our build-to-print organization.
Reporting to the Engineering manager includes the following positions:
Estimating, Quality Planning, Programming - NC and CMM, Industrial Engineering (IE) and / or Technical Engineering (TE), and / or Manufacturing Engineering.
The Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
Additionally, using a proven process, the Engineering Manager will focus on developing new product launches that are scalable, sustainable, and repeatable (SSR).
Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this position will include oversight and execution of the following, but are not limited to these items:
Estimating o Responsible to oversee the Technical Review and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development for new quote packages New Product Introduction o On-Time to milestone(s) o Scalability, Sustainability, Repeatability (SSR) o Part Entry into the ERP o Quality Plans o NC and CMM Programming o Womb-to-tomb Lego book style instructions Legacy Engineering Support Ensure that when a product launches to production; included in the packet, all of the requirements are identified and communicated.
Contribute to cost reduction by improved methods of manufacturing.
Assist in developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
The Engineering Manager reports to the Operations Manager and has the support responsibility to all functional directors and managers.
It is expected that the Engineering Manager will oversee the various team members of the engineering department and will be instrumental in their training and continued educational requirements for that department/ position.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory:
High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelors Degree or certification in related field preferred.
3 - 5 years' CNC/CMM Programming experience, operating, troubleshooting, and set-ups preferred.
Experience with Solidworks, Catia.
Some Esprit experience preferred.
Experienced in blue print reading with GD&T capabilities.
Ability to read and comprehend a variety of instructions and standard operating procedures.
Strong analytical skills and practical problem solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and ability to work well with others.
Experience in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, & ability to focus.
Safety glasses or side shields for prescription glasses are mandatory.
