And you play a part in shaping the future of the outdoors, for people and our planet.As a Real Estate Coordinator, you will play a central role in supporting and coordinating real estate activities related to our new and existing retail locations to increase the productivity of the existing real estate team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing and executing the co-op's real estate strategy, including site selection, lease negotiations, lease renewals, lease compliance, lease administration, and property management. Using your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, you will contribute to the successful expansion and management of our retail real estate portfolio. Responsibilities and QualificationsYour Planning & Navigating Requirements Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including Finance, Store Design, Store Construction, Legal, and Store Operations, to ensure seamless execution of real estate projects. Coordinate with outside regional real estate broker partners to gather due diligence information in support of site evaluation. Support new deal workflow from the LOI to lease phase by ensuring a complete LOI package is delivered to legal for intake to the lease drafting process. Develop materials and reports in support of new site presentations and portfolio reviews. Develop materials and reports in support of in-market review of new sites and market strategy. Support lease compliance and lease administration by reviewing, interpreting, and reporting on key lease provisions. Work with our internal Senior Real Estate Manager and external network of regional brokers to develop and maintain a system to track target properties across the country. Assist Senior Managers in preparation of portfolio review presentations requiring the collation of data and input from various internal departments including Facilities and Store Operations. Ensure the lease database system is accurate and complete through regular auditing and updates. Review and update real estate best practices, forms, documents, and systems to improve the speed and quality of real estate projects. Required Skills and Experience At least 3-5 years of experience in a retail real estate department performing or supporting real estate transactions, analyses, lease administration, and property management. Experience with cross-functional collaboration in a corporate environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and serving multiple internal clients. High level of proficiency in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Highly organized and experienced in streamlining workflows and developing toolsets. Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals. Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions. Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well in order to produce quality work. Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals. Clearly conveys and accurately receives information by a variety of methods and in various situations. Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Similar experience in a commercial real estate service company supporting a retail client is also acceptable. Experience with SmartSheet and Tableau.
