You will be the one to calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments.
A payroll specialist is able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency.
They are good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information.
They have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives.
The goal is to ensure personnel receives the correct compensation in a timely manner.
This position will assist in other HR functions such as recruitment and training, as needed.
Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for 100
employees using Paycor platform.
Responsible for validation and accuracy of time records in accordance with AXEL policies, making corrections and communicating the correction to the supervisor or manager.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of all payroll transactions.
Submits time cards to temporary staffing agencies on a weekly basis.
Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors Performs insurance benefits administration and other issues that impact payroll specifications, including auditing EDI feeds and invoices for payment.
Administer 401k contributions and Health Savings Account Deposits.
Skills Proven experience as payroll specialist for minimum of 3 years Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes.
Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of payroll software and databases Trustworthy with high degree of confidentiality Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail Excellent communication skills High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or relevant field is a plus Job Type:
