Assist in the organizing, duplicating, labeling, and distributing of all supplies needed in the conduct of elections by performing the following duties.
Job DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSoSweep and mop floors within a designated area; empty waste baskets; transport trash to designated locations for disposal.
oApply liquid or paste wax to floors and operates electric powered shampoo equipment; vacuums carpets.
oDust and polish Office furniture and equipment; cleans windows, walls and hardware using prepared cleaning agents.
oKeep rest rooms and lounges clean and stocked with supplies.
oPerform light maintenance duties including changing light bulbs, moving furniture, and removing litter from inside and around the building and maintains the flags.
oAssist Election and Absentee Services Coordinator in preparing materials for each precinct supply case and may assist in the distribution of supplies to Precinct Officials.
oResponsible for determining maintenance needs of the election board building and grounds.
oAssist Technical Services Building and Grounds Coordinator to organize warehouse and storage buildings in a manner which is conducive to receiving and utilizing a large volume of supplies and equipment based on specifications of each department.
oAssist with the storage and recycling process of material to be discarded according to statue.
Assist with the preventative maintenance and repair service on all voting and support equipment.
oAssist with the storage and retention of ballots.
oMay make service calls on election days.
oMay be required to work overtime during elections and to run errands.
oAssist the Technical Service Building and Grounds Coordinator in conducting polling place accessibility surveys.
Additional Job DescriptionREQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESSkills in planning; in organizing large volumes of materials and supplies; in assisting with preventative maintenance and repair service of all voting equipment; in scheduling and supervising helpers; in maintaining records; and in utilizing various Office equipment, including a personal computer.
Knowledge of functions, operations and electrical repair of voting machines; of the principles, practices and tools used in maintenance and repairs; of working hazards and safety precautions; of Tulsa County and the voting precincts; of procedure and laws regarding voter registration and absentee voting; and of departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, to utilize a variety of electrical equipment; to maintain the physical stamina necessary to perform manual labor; to drive in a safe manner; to utilize small power hand tools; and to deal tactfully with others.
COMPUTER SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software, Internet software, Inventory Control software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEEducation equivalent to graduation from a standard four year high school; supplemented by vocational or on-the-job training in maintenance, electronics or related science, plus over three years of satisfactory full-time paid employment with one year supervisory or lead person experience or any equivalent education or experience in building maintenance, material handling or minor electrical repair.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
