DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Van DrivingSafely operates agency vehicles while transporting Mental Health Care clients.
Monitoring and tracking of general van maintenance and care.
Taking van(s) in for repairs/maintenance as necessary.
Communicate with team about transportation schedules.
Other errands and duties as assigned.
Adheres to all agency policies regarding transportation of clients, vehicle operation, and accident reporting.
Document client progress during transportation service.
SPECIAL CLIENT ENVIRONMENTWill be working with F&CS clients, who may have greater challenges with communication due to confusion, mild agitation, or active symptoms of mental illness.
Driver should be prepared to rapidly assess any potentially escalating situation and engage appropriate clinical assistance or crisis intervention services.
Qualifications:
Requires ability to work with the public, ability to maintain an effective working relationship with agency employees, ability to maintain a professional manner at all times and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring disorders and appropriate interventions.
Must have great attitude and excellent customer service.
Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) preferred.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.
Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
Prefer experience in transportation services.
