JOB SUMMARY PartnerTulsa in partnership with AmeriCorps, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a vacant position as Community Development Analyst (CDA).
These are critical positions in the Community Development Department, with oversight of projects that include significant economic investments in neighborhoods, neighborhood revitalization plans, community engagement, capacity building within neighborhoods, and coordination of affordable housing related activities with other members of the department.
The CDA role is to work with the Community Development Team to enhance the quality-of-life for residents and contribute to the future well-being of the city's diverse communities.
The ideal candidate will work to balance the physical, economic, and social needs of residents through land use planning, neighborhood improvement, community development, and community engagement.
Under direction of the SVP, Community Development, the CDA will work to assist the team with planning community development programs and place-based initiatives.
The selected candidate will work alongside the team to set up, organize and meet with community stakeholders and participate in meetings.
Work in this position includes identifying and sustaining strategic partnerships, project/program review, implementation, monitoring and ensuring compliance with project/program goals and timelines.
Responsibilities will also include assisting with project and program planning, grant applications, public relations, record keeping, scheduling, and preparation of required reports and other related duties as required in pursuit of the economic prosperity of Tulsa residents and communities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Experience or knowledge in community development or a similar role in working directly with diverse communities.
Develops and maintains strong relationships across neighborhood, developer, community, and business groups, ensuring increased and ongoing engagement with economically and historically disadvantaged Tulsans.
Assist with outreach and engagement efforts with Tulsa residents, businesses, and stakeholders as a part of planning, programming, development, and redevelopment efforts.
Coalesces community input, existing plans, and existing development and redevelopment efforts.
Coordinate and participate in ongoing community outreach efforts and dialogue with neighborhood groups, elected officials, and stakeholders regarding community development activities.
Attend community meetings/events to garner community support for, and foster understanding of, PartnerTulsa initiatives to grow a strong economy and build vibrant communities.
Work closely with colleagues to identify grant and funding opportunities that may benefit various place-based plans and strategies.
Manages programming and communication efforts to inform customers and stakeholders of the work of PartnerTulsa, and how this work impacts, benefits, and is informed by the feedback of customers and stakeholders.
Be present and ready for work during regular office hours.
Work may occasionally be required after regular office hours for outreach or training events.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's in a field relevant to the essential tasks of this job description.
Some experience in planning, economic and/or community development, business or public administration, communications, community engagement, real estate, or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS, LICENSES REQUIRED Possession of a valid Driver's License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of the principles, practices, issues, programs and resources for community and economic development; knowledge of the history of and public policy solutions to racial inequities.
Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices related to community outreach and engagement.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of planning, land use, and development; knowledge of program planning, monitoring and evaluation principles, practices, and techniques.
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills; well organized and detail oriented.
Strong ability to quickly and effectively prioritize and reprioritize work based upon shifting demands; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals from various racial, cultural, ethnic backgrounds; ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with government, business, political and community leaders; ability to plan and coordinate complex programs with local community and government organizations and community stakeholders, meeting established parameters.
Ability to facilitate meetings, priorities, and program objectives, providing technical support on community and economic development issues.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, maintaining effective working relationships with individuals, businesses, general public, and internal/external agencies.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone.
Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
May be subject to walking, standing and sitting; and vision, speech and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT Working environment is primarily indoors in an office setting; may require working evenings and weekends and traveling to attend meetings and visit development/business sites.

Recommended Skills Analytical Attention To Detail Communication Community Management Coordinating Economic Development Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
