This position is responsible for all non-cash payment acceptance systems.
The position will ensure QT is billed appropriate rates by credit and debit card networks and payment processors and ensure debit transactions are routed to the most cost-efficient networks.
The position will also participate in the design, development and implementation of emerging payment projects and prepare and analyze budgets.
The Payment Systems Analyst analyzes business requirements and associated data in order to develop BI applications (e.
g.
reports, dashboards, data visualizations) to enable valuable usage of QT data assets.
This position will report to the Payment Systems Manager.
The requirements for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analytics or a minimum of five years of relevant QT experience with a demonstrated proficiency in relevant data, systems, and operational tools.
Advanced skills in spreadsheet design and analysis.
Ability to perform advanced financial analysis and calculate the return on an investment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships with people at all levels from within and outside the company.
Excellent verbal skills/written communication skills strong organizational skills and multi-task required.
Knowledge/experience with standard MS Office applications (outside of Excel in which advanced skills are required).
Ability to meet deadlines required.
Ability to identify issues and resolutions with minimal direction.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to execute departmental strategic items and communicate to leadership.

The major functions for this position:
1.
Provide oversight, analysis, reporting and reconciliation of all payment network interchange, pass thru, and related processing fees.

Develop and maintain reporting metrics around fees for each network.

Stay abreast of changes in related interchange and network fees.
c.
Reconcile billings from our acquiring partner and resolve discrepancies as appropriate.
d.
Provide recommendations on opportunities to improve interchange qualification on transactions as the opportunity arises.
e.
Ensure fees are accurately reported in the financial statements.
f.
Provide clear and concise explanations to variances in credit/debit card actual fees versus budgeted fees.
2.
Ensure QT PIN-Debit transactions are routed to the most cost-efficient network.

Stay abreast of debit network fees for each PIN-debit network.

Partner with payment processor to ensure routing tables are kept up to date to route transactions to the most cost efficient networks on a by transaction basis.
c.
Provide reporting and analysis to measure the effectiveness of our debit routing strategies.

Coordinate, develop and maintain Payment Systems fee and budget reporting solutions.

Develop, enhance, and support BI applications (e.

reports, dashboards, data visualizations) in support of Payment Systems needs.

Gather and document Payments team feedback and suggestions for data reporting improvement.

Ensure Reporting Integrity.
Responsible for the format, appearance, and edits of Payments reports and dashboards.
d.
Resolve BI issues utilizing excellent customer service, problem solving, and technical thinking/reasoning skills following established support process and metrics guidelines.
e.
Primary BI technology stack in use by Payment Systems is Microsoft's Power BI and Excel BI components.
Other technologies could be required due to changing business or technical needs.

Assist the Payment Systems Manager in the design and implementation of emerging payment acceptance applications and technology projects.

Perform financial analysis to support the economics of a specific project.

Perform analysis of data to support decision making around specific project requirements.

Contribute to the design and project development process.

Establish and maintain relationships with payment network representatives and others within our industry in order to assist in resolving key operational issues specific to QT.
