Job Overview The software trainer position details providing technical assistance and onsite and remote training to our software users using computer and lecture style classes.
Technical assistance includes providing remote technical support for users.
Onsite training encompasses travel to the client's location.
Training includes walking users through how to properly enter data into the software based on government and department policy.
A software trainer also conducts meetings with clients to discuss software needs and customizations.
The trainer also reviews completed customizations and works with team members and clients overseeing the software installation and training.
Responsibilities Answer technical questions regarding the software via email, phone, and virtual meetings.
Test software to ensure customization is completed and no bugs are present in the software.
Travel to client site and perform trainings.
Manage own travel accommodations.
Develop and maintain knowledge of government guidelines of many assistance programs, such as, TANF, General Assistance, Child Welfare, Energy Assistance.
Document and record all aspects of client interactions in designated client management software to promote transparency and understanding of technical issues.
Manage and update customer contact information in designated client management software.
Create and maintain end user documentation.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications Experience or advanced knowledge of government assistance programs, such as, TANF, General Assistance, Child Welfare, Energy Assistance.
Experience or advance knowledge of Tribal organizations Previous experience as a software trainer Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent degree is required Exceptional knowledge of office computer systems and software Strong written and communication skills Experience working in data entry software and maintaining detailed information Effectively work in a group setting and as an individual with little to no supervision Salary to commensurate with experience.
