Responsibilities:
Responsible for real-time geosteering, guiding decisions and QC'ing 3rd party interpretation Deliver geologic insight and interpretation for daily drilling and completion operations Effective communication with planning, drilling, and completions teams from pre-spud to well turn in line Subsurface interpretation, generating maps and cross sections Using geologic and petrophysical data to optimize targeting and integrate offset development information into development plans Work with development geoscientist and planning team to drive efficiency in the well lifecycle process Manage geological and geophysical projects and contractors Assist in well performance and lookback analysis Evaluate behind pipe pay potential for uneconomic wells Recommend and evaluate emerging technologies to improve business performance Occasional field visits to observe and monitor operations EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
Four plus (4+) years Petroleum Geology experience Master's Degree in Geology preferred Operations geology & Permian Basin experience preferred Experience with well operations and reservoir characterization Experience with geoscience interpretation software, Kingdom and StarSteer preferred Experience with geocellular models Effective team player who takes an active role in team responsibilities Strong time management skills Ability to work with minimum supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on multiple tasks Confidence to make informed decisions based on imperfect datasets Ability to present work and ideas to management COMPENSATION:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is primarily an office position where work is normally performed in a climate-controlled environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited.
The noise level is moderate and includes sounds of a normal office environment.
No environmental hazards are encountered in performance of normal job duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level.
Work may require occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying 20-pound objects such as files, documents, boxes, etc.
Work involves sitting most of the time but may involve standing and walking for brief periods.
Travel to other office sites/locations is required occasionally.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
