Associate, Quality Engineering

Functional Overview:


Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Engineer - Assembly to support our Tulsa, OK manufacturing operation. This position is in the Plant Quality organization reporting directly to the Assembly Quality Leader.

The main function of this role is to develop a robust manufacturing process that ensures quality is built at the station and continuous improvement in the quality metrics for the assembly line.

Job
Responsibilities:

Lead the quality effort for the manufacturing process to meet division metrics:
Service Incidence Rate (SIR),

Customer Assurance Lab (CAL), Quality Assurance Lab (QAL) CAL/QAL, Process Capability (Cp & Cpk),

First Pass Yield (FPI) and Scrap %).
Lead corrective actions efforts for CAL/QAL audit findings. Identify process improvements to eliminate potential defects or

detection improvements to assure the defects cannot be passed on to the customer.
Track and identify projects to address FPY issues and to meet division targets. Monitor Cp/Cpk from critical processes and lead

Kaizen to improve process capability.

Use the 7 steps of Problem Solving to use Whirlpool Quality methodology to solve Man and Method issues.
Lead implementation of Error and Mistake proof solutions for Man and Method issues as permanent corrective actions.
Lead Autonomous teams with Process Engineer and Operations Line supervisor to review at least on a weekly basis assembly line

quality performance, define priorities and action plan to drive Kaizens and corrective actions.
Identify internal and external emerging issues and respond immediately to those issues with detection and process controls thru

Quality Emergency Work Order (QEWO) execution.

Lead LPA and Red Herring (Error and Mistake Proof devices verification) implementation and correct follow-up for its assembly lines.
Maintain QA Network for AA QA Matrix issues and Man / Method emerging issues.

Supervise Quality process Technicians and First Responders that are assigned to assembly quality.
Manage multiple tasks and provide frequent oral/written communication to supervisor or related departments.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering
1
years experience working in manufacturing
Preferred Requirements:


World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
Experience in a Quality role in a manufacturing environment
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and/or CQE certification; 5 Why, Kaizen, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
Exposure to Domestic and International Quality

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
