Summary :
Designing, testing, implementing and documenting the processes and all associated tooling, fixtures, and work methods in support of manufacturing for all product.
Responsabilities:
Support ongoing manufacturing with methods design and improvement
Design and write programs for CNC machines
Design and build fixtures and tooling for all types of equipment
Evaluate bid opportunities and prepare cost estimates and quotations
Skills:
Understanding and practical experience in the processes and equipment of machining, grinding, wire EDM, heat treating, plating and other similar equipment
Knowledge of programming languages for modern CNC equipment controllers.
Understanding of enterprise software related to bills of materials, product routings, work orders and inventory tracking.
Training and experience in lean manufacturing methods and tools.
Ability to read drawings, interpret specifications, devise process routings and estimate costs of production for the purposes of quoting new jobs.
Analytical capabilities to identify opportunities for material cost reductions and to develop practical plans to achieve such reductions
Ability to identify waste in the process and implement countermeasure plans and activities to systematically reduce that waste.
Ability to communicate at all levels inside and outside the company. Ability to engage in a professional manner with suppliers and customers. This includes verbal and written communication that is articulate and concise.
Requirements:
6-8 years experience with increasing responsibility in the functions of mechanical design engineering, process or industrial engineering in a manufacturing facility.
Bachelor's degree and continuing education in Mechanical
Documented and demonstrated lean manufacturing capabilities with experience on continuous improvement teams.
Programming capability in Mastercam, Gibbs cam, Esprit or equivalent
Experience with enterprise software and demonstrated ability to manage the software tools available

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
