Accounting & HR Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting and HR Associate to join our team.
This position will play a crucial role in supporting both accounting and human resources functions, specifically focusing on payroll administration, timecard management, data uploading, garnishments, verifications of employment, various accounting tasks, and recruiting responsibilities.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting/bookkeeping, possess knowledge of GAAP, and be proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.

This role requires someone with excellent Excel skills, as well as the ability to handle month-end reconciliations, assist with special projects, and contribute to the recruitment process.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
- Process payroll every other week.
- Check and approve time cards for accuracy.
- Upload relevant data into the payroll system.
Garnishments and Verifications of Employment:
- Manage and process garnishments.
- Conduct verifications of employment as required.
Accounting and Bookkeeping:
- Utilize QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.
com for accounts payable.
- Handle cash transactions on Thursdays.
- Perform month-end reconciliations.
Recruiting
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
- Source and screen candidates through resume reviews and initial interviews.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Conduct reference checks and background screenings.
- Assist in the preparation of job offers and onboarding documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system.
Data Management and Analysis:
- Efficiently use Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Create PowerPoint presentations for reporting and presentations.
Knowledge of GAAP:
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in daily tasks.
Special Projects and Assistance:
- Assist the team with special projects and tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project completion.

Education and
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
