Responsibilities What You'll Do The Unit Clerk--10 Tower is responsible for delivery of patient care.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Greeting and directing patients, visitors and physicians upon their arrival to the department Demonstrate the ability to process proper forms, schedule procedures, input and work on the CRT, and coordinate the desk area of the patient care unit Order entry via the CRT for all physician's orders on patients, general office duties for the unit, phone coordination and conveying overall outstanding customer service Demonstrate good telephone skills and able to assist others in a courteous manner, following up on the caller's needs Maintain confidentiality with all information Perform any and all other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).
Education/Certification High school diploma or GED Basic Life Support Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures Knowledge of basic methods of personal hygiene Committed to health and safety standards Ability to apply basic nursing techniques Understanding of medical terminology Empathetic and approachable Demonstrate a personal interest in the health and wellbeing of others Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations What We Offer Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k with Company match Company paid basic life insurance and long term disability coverage Generous paid time off, including an additional extended illness bank Tuition Reimbursement Advancement and career development opportunities.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
