Responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day activities employees performing policy administration tasks in support of the business.
Supervise employees and may perform the work of subordinates.
Assign and check work. Ensure accurate and timely completion of assignments.
Has responsibility for the performance and coaching of staff.
Provide training to new members of the team / unit.
Ensure employees have access to and are trained on the most current department policies and procedures.
Participate in other departmental processes / projects, such as changes / enhancements to forms and screens, user acceptance testing for systems and policies, and reviewing impact to current policies / practices.
As appropriate for line of business, may approve new business, renewal business and / or endorsements based on a defined set of instructions / guidelines.
Maintain extensive knowledge of and ensures appropriate application of regulations, department guidelines, policies and procedures and understanding of business and organization. Ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Oversee internal controls to ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of work. Make recommendations to improve processes and procedures.
Request or generate and analyze management reports to track and assess unit performance, process flow, customer satisfaction and other business metrics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate must have an Associate's Degree or equivalent plus 5 or more years of related experience. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
