Basic Function:
Maintains computerized accounts payable system which involves heavy interface with other TDW departments to resolve discrepancies and solve problems.
Accountabilities:
Verifies vendor invoices by comparing them to purchase orders and receiving reports. Resolves discrepancies and solves problems in order to meet the guidelines set for accounts payable.
Prepares pending report for Purchasing and performs follow-ups on problems with invoices, receivers, and NCR's with purchasing department.
Reviews all open purchase orders, invoices, and NCR reports for any variances which might exist. Checks for proper account distributions. Follows up with necessary action to correct.
Maintains control of NCR's and issues debit memos to vendors when necessary to ensure proper credit is received for rejected material.
Maintains the un-invoiced receipt report on a current basis. Requires working with numerous departments to solve problems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent; prefer some college level accounting courses.
10-key by touch, CRT experience, several years experience with computerized accounts payable systems.
General understanding of accounting principles and business math.
2 plus years of previous AP experience.
Ability to communicate both inside and outside of TDW.
Able to work with speed and accuracy.
Advanced Excel skills desired (basic formulas, pivot tables)
MS Great Plains and MANMAN experience a plus.
