Summary: Provides direct adolescent patient care services to include, but not limited to, maintaining safe, orderly and therapeutic environment and providing physical care and psychiatric treatment interventions. Assists in the development and implementation of psycho-educational, goal-setting and activity groups as directed by the nurse and/or treatment team.
Education: Bachelor#s degree in a behavioral health field. Degree may be waived with combination of post-secondary education and two years adolescent behavioral health experience in a behavioral health or related field to include: group home; psych or CD inpatient or outpatient setting; juvenile correction facility; community-based services for a child or adolescent population; prior experience in the development, implementation, evaluation and modification of psycho-educational groups and activities.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid Managing Aggressive Behavior (MAB) and valid CPR certification
Work
Experience: One to two years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively exercise independent judgement in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established. Demonstrates ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention and physical management of aggressive behavior, including use of seclusion and/or restraint. Demonstrates thorough understanding of documentation principles. Demonstrates understanding of variety of psychiatric disorders in adolescents to include Mood Behavior Disorders, Bipolar Disorder and Mania, Depression, Anxiety, Psychoses, Alzheimer#s and Chemical Dependencies. Demonstrates the ability to perform basic nursing care. Demonstrates knowledge of proper identification and reporting of medical/health care errors. Knowledge of group dynamics and ability to provide psycho-educational groups. Ability to develop and implement a psycho-educational group on a related mental illness topic. Ability to be organized and flexible, acts appropriately in stressful/emergency situations. Conflict resolution and problem solving abilities. Ability to work within interdisciplinary Treatment Team and milieu. Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and with direction.
All Laureateinpatient employees are required to attendpaid training. This training takes place Monday through Friday. You will need to be available for the entire training whichis primarily8 am - 5 pm, but with some 7am - 7pm shifts for approximately two weeks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
