MISSION:
Develop best practices and processes for global in-service welding business, including methods to accelerate the technical development of welders, and manage a team of Welding Engineers focused on effectively leveraging TDW expert in-service welding knowledge and strengthening the differentiated HT&P market position.
Responsibilities:
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Recognizes and communicates the HT&P welding organization personnel development needs and directs the appropriate training, development plans, and certification programs to meet and/or exceed customer expectations and industry standards and regulations.
Identifies methods to support recruitment and identification of new talent as well as assess capabilities and competencies of in-service Welders to ensure timely promotion/development and re-certification to maintain a fully capable team to manage all incoming work requests.
Maintains professional, academic, and industry contacts and improves technical knowledge of department members through on-the-job application of customer-specific engineered solutions. Participation in professional and industry trade organizations, review of technical papers/literature, and attendance at appropriate seminars and workshops with the intent of applying innovative and customized engineering solutions to both existing and new products.
Coordinates with the Marketing team to develop a robust sales kit to include presentations on In-Service Welding and differentiated HT&P services for all markets including subsea, pipeline, and plant.
Manages communication with local Operations, Project Management, Sales, and Commercial teams to provide technical review and information about the feasibility of complex projects and contracts.
Meets with Welding Engineers to understand specific challenges to meeting targets and goals.
Drives all applicable process, procedure, standard, and regulation compliance required to successfully operate within the HT&P organization and industry by overseeing global audits,
Reviews, redefines and deploys an effective data collection process to ensure the collection of all required customer data is gathered to allow TDW personnel to provide an appropriate technical solution.
Identifies ways to improve upfront identification of customer opportunities, including sales calls to customer project engineers and managers, and deploys methods within the regions,
Creates a portfolio of order-to-cash tools, including quote formats, resource planning tools, job file set up, project management files, project documentation tools, etc. and deploys tools into FSA, CRM, etc.
Ensures compliance of all HT&P processes with established quality assurance procedures and HSE policies,
Ensures compliance with Corporate, HR, Legal, Risk, and IT policies, procedures, and programs.
Selects, manage, evaluate, motivate and develop employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet Company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines or foreign employment guidelines as applicable,
Conducts performance reviews in accordance with the performance management program, providing fair and accurate assessment of employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement, and possibility of future growth within the organization.
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Welding Engineering , Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a strong knowledge of welding codes, procedures and qualifying welders,
Minimum of10 years of In-Service Welding Engineering with at least five years leading a team,
Prior experience with challenging job environments (i.e. Plant, Pipeline, and Subsea),
LSS Green Belt preferred,
Intermediate MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Ability to travel (internationally and domestically), up to 20%.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
