Mission:
Fuses pipe of various diameters by means of electric welding processes. Repairs damaged or broken metal objects. Supports operation of tapping, plugging, and freeze equipment during service work assignments to ensure safe and proper use of equipment and satisfactory completion of job. Performs work assignments that conform with established capabilities.
Relationships with Others:
Reports to Service Center Manager or Supervisor; takes daily direction from Senior Welding Engineer. Extensive customer contact.
Responsibilities
Proficient in the GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and SMAW processes utilizing both electric and engine drive power supplies. Able to use cutting torches, burning machines, welding machines, arc welders, torches, burning machines, shape cutters, welding positioners, overhead cranes, and assorted hand tools, works on-site at pipeline or refinery to fuse pipe of various diameters. Welds will be x-ray quality. To be qualified to weld in all positions.
Secures necessary jigs and fixtures, filler material to properly perform welding operations on a variety of metals and alloys. Keeps up to date on all equipment maintenance and operational procedures to ensure safe, proper maintenance and use of equipment and satisfactory completion of job.
Able to weld complete joint, including Root Pass, Hot Pass, Fill and Cap passes using Stringer Beads. Brushes, cleans and grinds as required. Performs minor repairs and adjustments of equipment. Works to close tolerances. In addition, fully implements Run-Out-Ratio methodology for all In-Service Welding applications and learns and follows all Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) work instructions.
Assists customers in planning and coordinating use of line intervention equipment for safest and most efficient completion of projects; develops and maintains good relations with all customers. Acts as the site representative during tapping and welding operations. Oversees the handling, assembly, operation, and dis-assembly of TDW line intervention equipment in compliance with established quality assurance procedures during field operations.
Complies with TDW and customer safety standards and procedures, and stops any work utilizing TDW equipment when unsafe conditions exist that threaten equipment, property damage or bodily injury.
Upon completion of each job, prepares a report detailing equipment performance results and other essential data. Summarizes completed reports, time, and job tickets in a timely manner.
Performs maintenance and repairs of TDW equipment and/or other duties as required in shop, and other tasks as may be required from time to time by upper management.
Qualifications
Must have a HS diploma or equivalent; preference will be given to candidates who have Associate's degrees in an engineering discipline.
Two years x-ray quality welding in the following welding processes: GMAW, GTAW, SMAW or FCAW. Qualified for All Positions to ASME Section IX, API 1104 and API 1104 Appendix B.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certifications by test in accordance with IPA 1103 code book, or have passed and hold API 1104 code book endorsements.
Must be able to read blueprints, follow WPS instructions, and make fit-ups to blueprint tolerances. Must have an understanding of hydraulics, and be mechanically inclined.
Good communication skills and English fluency are required.
Medium to heavy lifting required, to be performed in conformance to TDW safety regulations. Must be able to work in awkward working positions. Must be able to climb, kneel, weld in vertical position, and pass a DOT physical.
Must possess or be able to obtain a DOT medical and commercial chauffeur's license and be able to travel extensively as required worldwide.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
